Barney Calhoun

He first appears when the facility had to be evacuated and he was banging the door to alert all. Chell
Also known as Test Subject#1, Chell is a girl in her late 20s who at first, didn’t know why she was there but turned out to be one who voluntarily participated in the experiments conducted to test the technologies. Chell has been specifically assigned to try Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device.
She seems sturdy as can be seen working out during the training sessions and always wears a jumpsuit and ties hair in a ponytail. Moreover, she has prosthetic legs but even her tests proved that she is stubborn and never backs off once she decides something which means that Chell is fearless.
ATLAS and P-Body
ATLAS and P-Body are usually called “Blue” and “Orange”. These robots have been built from scraps and with the technology that has humanization chips so Blue and Orange have behaviors and personalities that are similar to humans. The purpose of these robots is to use them as test subjects in the Testing Chamber.
Both the robots have unique human traits as ATLAS is brave and opts for challenges, whereas P-Body is more emotional and sensitive to situations. They have developed emotions like happiness, sadness, selfishness, and can be found hugging in one minute and fighting in the other.
Dr. Gina Cross
In her mid-20s, Dr. Cross is a senior physicist who has been allotted the department of anomalous materials in the Black Mesa Research Facility along with Dr. Green. She has also designed the suit for Gordon Freeman and has a good working relationship with him. She is calm and quiet and focuses more on work rather than being jolly and bubbly. It is arduous for Cross to leave the facility but it would depend on your survival skills if would succeed to escape.
Adrian Shephard
Since the facility has many dangerous things inside so a US Marine Corporal is also a part of the game. Adrian’s job is to save innocents from Xen invaders and as a soldier, he knows the survival tactics. Adrian isn’t alone and is there with a squad; however, his squad’s leader was given the task to kill Gordon Freeman because he now knows everything which shouldn’t be revealed to the world. But Adrian doesn’t listen to his leader and supports Freeman to leave the place safely.
